Kick-Ass Movie Trailer

Kick-Ass Movie TrailerLionsgate has release and official movie trailer of Kick-Ass:

KICK-ASS

This new trailer of Kick-Ass is a bit too sweet... I mean they transformed what was definitely kick-ass into some some rather "cool" thing... They aren't promoting American Pie here for God's sake! Let's hope that the next movie trailer of Kick-Ass will go badass again, after all that's what the movie really is!

Kick-Ass Bootleg Clip

Kick-Ass LeakedBootleg clips of Kick-Ass have leaked online. Those clips preview clips were shown during the last comic-con:

Kick-Ass, a nerd with big dreams!

Kick-Ass get mocked and stabbed.

Big Dady proves to Hit Girl that there is nothing to fear
when one is wearing a bullet proof jacket.

Kick-Ass meets Hit-Girl!

Ok those clips are violent, but it's counterbalanced by some genuine humor: the combination of both makes those clips of Kick-Ass surprisingly great to watch! I think that Director Matthew Vaughn's movie adaptation of Kick-Ass is going to be a blockbuster!

Kick-Ass Hit Girl

We may have a first look at Chloe Moretz as Hit girl, in the upcoming movie Kick-Ass directed by Matthew Vaughn:

In the movie Kick-Ass, Nicolas Cage plays the role of former cop, look how cute they are together:
Nicolas Cage and Chloe Moretz - Kick-Ass MovieBut actually they're both nuts... By night they transform into crazy vigilantes and Big Daddy enlist his daughter Hit Girl for a murderous rampage against those he consider as villains.

I don't think Chloe Moretz looks that much dangerous in her school uniform (not as scary as the original character from the comic book I mean), maybe she looks naughty, but not dangerous. Still Matthew Vaughn believes she she's a good fit:

"Think Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman rolled into one. She's an 11 year-old and she's the ultimate assassin. She kills, I think, 20 people in a minute."
Director Matthew Vaughn

Reading this quote twice, I can but think that Kick-Ass is a disturbing movie...

Kick-Ass Movie directed by Matthew Vaughn

Director Matthew Vaughn has decided to the tackle the movie adaptation of Kick-Ass, the comic book series written by Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita. The story of Kick-Ass revolves around a boy who decides to become a super-hero and to fight against crime. Kick-Ass dramatically satirizes comic book tropes and superhero conventions.

The film is starring Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Mark Strong, Chloe Moretz, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. There is no official release date yet, but we may expect the movie Kick-Ass for the second half of 2009.

Here below a first look at Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass and also to Christopher Mintz-Plasse who's been cast as Red Mist (in the car):

And here a better look at the costume of Kick-Ass (the guy is a stunt double of Aaron Johnson):

Aaron Johnson as Dave Lizewski aka Kick-AssThe Plot:
"Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so." (Source: IMDb)

Cast:
- Aaron Johnson as the main character Dave Lizewski / Kick-Ass
- Nicolas Cage will play a former cop
- Chloe Moretz as the cop's daughter, aka Hit girl
- Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist
- Mark Strong as an evil druglord
- Lyndsy Fonseca as the hottie Lizewski is hitting on

The movie Kick-Ass comes in the wake of Wanted: one more movie adapted from a comic book by Mark Millar that makes the apology of violence... Well, I don't mind: Wanted was great! I hope that the movie Kick-Ass will be rated R by the MPAA. If it was rated below it would just be a let down compared to the original comic book...
